This is painted by Vladimir Kush and is called
Eye Pond. The colors used are more warmer than cool. This
painting consists of water, a fish, a dragonfly, and grass around the water. Of
course, the painting is of a fish in a pond however it is shaped like an eye. Nothing
too major is happening in the painting, but it is very interesting.
In this painting, the details are very clear.
You can see the small waves as the fish came up above water. You can see the
rows of grass along the pond and how they are lined up. As well as the clear reflection of the blue
sky and the grass on the water.
I believe this painting is representing what
the artist loves to do. Vladimir may be saying this is his go to for those stressful
times, almost like his coping skill, which is fishing. I think the eye supposed
to represent his own eye, maybe thinking about how much he loves fishing. My reason being, is because of the shape of
the pond and the fish’s head out of water.
The reason this painting caught my attention
was because it is unique. I personally love to draw eyes, so I thought this was
a good way to draw one. It was creative to use the grass as eyelashes and the
fish as the pupil. I’m not aware of the artist himself, but I would say this
painting would cost a good amount of money.
